《讀寫教程》是《新視野大學英語》(第二版)系列教材中的主干教材。本教程在第一版基礎上，全面貫徹《大學英語課程教學要求》(簡稱《課程要求》)的精神，結合使用院校的反饋意見，在整體結構、選材和練習等方面均有不同程度的完善和提高。《新視野大學英語·讀寫教程3(附光盤第2版)》全書10個單元，供一個學期使用。每單元以一段100詞左右的Preview開始，言簡意賅地點出本單元主題。Preview既可以用于預習，也可以在寫本單元summary時作參考。在Preview之后，單元內容分為兩個部分：Section A和Section B。每部分各包含一篇課文和相關的練習。
