《國際新聞英語聽力進階教程》為進一步提高大學生的英語新聞聽力而設計，共12個單元，分為上下兩篇：上篇為新聞聽力入門，下篇為標準英語新聞。《國際新聞英語聽力進階教程》以主題為中心，每單元提供大量相關主題的新聞報道和聽力模擬訓練，聽力材料難度呈階梯性，通過反復重現和大量練習幫助學習者溫故而知新，掌握英語新聞的聽力技巧，提高英語新聞聽力水平。《國際新聞英語聽力進階教程》可作為大學英語選修課程或后續課程的教材使用，亦可供廣大英語學習者提高英語聽力水平自學使用。
