詞匯學(xué)是語(yǔ)言學(xué)領(lǐng)域里一門研究詞匯的起源與發(fā)展，詞的形態(tài)、構(gòu)成、意義與應(yīng)用的交叉學(xué)科。本書以英語(yǔ)詞匯為研究對(duì)象，以現(xiàn)代語(yǔ)言學(xué)理論為基礎(chǔ)，首先探討了英語(yǔ)詞匯的構(gòu)成、意義、運(yùn)用和認(rèn)知。此外，本書采用社會(huì)語(yǔ)言學(xué)中有關(guān)“世界英語(yǔ)”的理論成果，深入探討了現(xiàn)代英語(yǔ)在世界范圍內(nèi)的發(fā)展規(guī)律與方向，并詳細(xì)闡述了英語(yǔ)在中國(guó)的發(fā)展歷程和現(xiàn)狀以及中國(guó)英語(yǔ)變體的詞匯特征和實(shí)踐意義。本書以豐富的語(yǔ)言材料和大量的詞語(yǔ)例證為特色，旨在幫助英語(yǔ)詞匯研究者和廣大中國(guó)英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)者提高對(duì)英語(yǔ)詞語(yǔ)的理解、釋義、思辨、應(yīng)用的綜合能力。

張潔，漢族，2004年獲澳大利亞悉尼大學(xué)語(yǔ)言學(xué)專業(yè)碩士學(xué)位，2011年獲澳大利亞麥考瑞大學(xué)語(yǔ)言學(xué)專業(yè)博士學(xué)位，現(xiàn)任中南財(cái)經(jīng)政法大學(xué)外語(yǔ)學(xué)院英語(yǔ)系副系主任、副教授、碩士生導(dǎo)師。主要研究領(lǐng)域?yàn)檎Z(yǔ)言政策與規(guī)劃、英語(yǔ)教學(xué)、話語(yǔ)分析、英語(yǔ)詞匯學(xué)。何潔，漢族，2010年獲中南財(cái)經(jīng)政法大學(xué)外國(guó)語(yǔ)言學(xué)與應(yīng)用語(yǔ)言學(xué)方向碩士學(xué)位，現(xiàn)就職于武漢音樂(lè)學(xué)院，講師。在海外核心期刊和國(guó)內(nèi)知名期刊上發(fā)表多篇論文、書評(píng)。
