21世紀需要復合型的專業人才。這類復合型的專業人才是一個耀眼的群體，是時代的驕子，因為他們既精通專業又懂外語。為了適應時代的需要，為了培養復合型專業人才的需要，我們編寫了《電子商務英語》。隨著計算機技術的發展，推出了HTML超文本置標語言和XML可擴展置標語言。它們是用特殊的符號來標記數據和字符等運用到計算機語言中。
英語應用在各個領域、各類專業、各個行業，都有其自身的特色，各有千秋，五彩繽紛。電子商務英語是一個嶄新的領域，它有待有識之士去耕耘，去開拓，逐步使其成為英語應用語言學的一個主要的分支。
本書由譚穎擔任主編、高蓓和金興玉擔任副主編，具體分工如下：譚穎（哈爾濱鐵道職業學院）編寫Chapter 2、5、7、8、9和Appendix B；高蓓（黑龍江東方學院）編寫Chapter 1、Chapter 3和Appendix A；金興玉（哈爾濱體育學院體）編寫Chapter 4、Chapter 6和Appendix D；郭海霞負責Appendix C整理編寫工作。
