唐德根，男，1949年10月生，湖南永州市人.現任湘潭大學外國語學院黨委書記兼副院長、英語語言文學教授。20世紀90年代中期，赴澳大利亞留學一年作者主持湖南省教委科研項目兩個，承擔省社科規劃課題一項，主持湖南省高�！陡掠⒄Z專業主干課程教學內容的探討與實踐》獲湖南省教學成果二等獎：出版《中國學生英語交際失誤分析》、《跨文化交際學》等學術專著及教材6部：翻譯國防科技文獻200余萬字、在英國、澳大利亞、香港的學術刊物、國內學術核心期刊及文集上作者發表學術論文40余篇，論文《跨文化教學》曾獲湖南省外國語言文學與翻譯成果獎、其主要學術研究方向為語言學、跨文化交際學和跨文化語用學。
